Acadian born, Ali Chaisson hails from Cap St-Georges, on the Port-au-Port Peninsula on the West Coast of the Island, in Newfoundland & Labrador. His consulting firm, groupe OPTIONS group, inc., specializes in business brokerage, international business strategy, change management, negotiations, government relations, crisis management and decision-making structures in the voluntary, not-for-profit and private sectors. He was until recently Managing Director of Investcan Energy Corporation and President of Qubnergie Inc. He is the former CEO of PDI Production, Inc. He is an active Member of the Board of the French Chamber of Commerce in Canada Atlantic Chapter.
He was the Executive Director of la fédération des francophones de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador (FFTNL) from 1997-2006. He has worked as a Senior Policy Advisor with the Harper Administration.
With an Honours Degree in Social Sciences (Political Science), Mr. Chaisson has a background in strategic studies and Canadian politics, with a particular emphasis on Charter rights pertaining to minorities. Mr. Chaisson is a Karrass certified negotiator, a certified project manager and in the process of terminating the certified professional facilitator program.
Mr. Chaisson has interests in strategic studies, public policy, politics and Canadian constitutional affairs. He is a seasoned traveller that also enjoys gastronomy, oenology, wine collecting and is an avid amateur chef. He is an experienced hiker and a reluctant jogger.
