Host, Radio-réveil Radio-Canada

Originally from Sherbrooke, Geneviéve Murchison studied law in her hometown and opened a criminal law practice there – but she’d always dreamed of a career in journalism. That led her to move to Montreal to join the media realm in 1999 as a reporter for TVA, LCN, and then RDI.

Geneviéve relocated to Western Canada in September 2001 because she wanted to get to know her country better. Working out of Winnipeg as an RDI journalist, she got to travel across the Western provinces to cover major news events like the Kelowna wildfire, the Edmonton Grand Prix, and the Queen’s visit to Saskatchewan. In 2005, Geneviéve took up her duties as anchor, first for Le Téléjournal Manitoba and, for the past three years, the Radio de Radio-Canada morning show Le 6 à 9.

Known for her boundless energy, Geneviéve absolutely loves the great outdoors she – enjoys cross-country skiing, fishing and camping, especially with her husband and two young daughters.
