Manon Gauthier has been Executive Director of the Segal Centre for Performing Arts since 2009. Her career spans 20 years of experience in cultural management and public affairs. A gifted communicator and visionary business leader, she has held executive positions at leading international communication agencies, acting as a public affairs strategist for international, national and provincial private and public organizations. A committed advocate of the arts and their interrelation with business and philanthropy, she devotes countless hours to helping cultural organizations, claiming their recognition as a key driver for social and economic development.

In November 2010, Manon Gauthier was recognized by the Women’s Executive Network as one of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women in the Arts and Communications category. In 2009, she was also among 20 finalists for the Prix des femmes d’affaires du Québec. In 2011, La Presse named her one of Quebec’s top 15 personalities in recognition of the impact of her work on the future of the cultural industry. In February 2012, she appeared on Premires en affaires magazine’s list of essential players in the entertainment industry ("Incontournables de l’industrie du divertissement"). Ms. Gauthier holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University.

Manon Gauthier sits on the national committee for the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards, on the Culture Montréal executive committee, as well as on the boards of directors of La Vitrine and the Centre québécois de lutte aux dépendances. She also contributes to multiple advisory committees in the cultural sector, and is a frequent guest speaker and panellist for a wide range of organizations and publications.
