Marie-Claude Lavallée currently hosts Espace musique’s morning radio show, and she’s well known to Radio-Canada audiences, having appeared on a wide range of the public broadcaster’s programs since 1983, including the TV shows Ce soir and Montréal Ce soir (1984–1992), SRC Bonjour (1992–1994), À tout prix (1994–1995), and the weekend Téléjournal midi (1998–2006). From 1995 to 2009, she conducted many up-close interviews on RDI with personalities from show business and other walks of life, for the programs Entrée des artistes and Les Rendez-vous de Marie-Claude. From 2009 to 2012, she hosted the weekday mid-morning show RDI Santé, covering all the latest health-related news backed by a remarkable team of experts.

Marie Claude Lavallée studied piano and oboe at the Conservatoire de musique de Québec before completing the journalism program at Toronto’s Ryerson University. She began her media career in Toronto working both in English and French as co-host of a CBC newsmagazine for young people.

Other than her TV work, Marie-Claude Lavallée also helped train newly appointed reporters and anchors across the Radio-Canada network from 2006 to 2009.
